SAFETY
AIM multifiber shell
The shell of the Shoei helmet JO integrates AIM technology that offers high stiffness and a very light weight. The structure of the shell is composed of several layers of fiberglass and organic fibers with a capacity to distribute the energy of impacts with optimal rigidity.
EPS shock absorption system
We use a double density EPS for shock absorption. When an impact occurs, it is absorbed progressively and effectively in balance with the rigidity of the shell. In addition to improving shock absorption, with a precise placement of the EPS a more compact and lighter helmet design is obtained.
Double-D safety lock
Easy to handle, offering a perfect fit at all times for the rider.
SCREEN SYSTEM
The screen is one of the important points that affect rider safety. The new Shoei JO is equipped with the new CJ-3 visor, designed and developed exclusively for it. During the development process we set ourselves the objective of obtaining the best performance, but without sacrificing style to maintain that vintage touch of the helmets of yesteryear.
The CJ-3 screen has a rounded shape emulating the shape of the classic glasses. The lower part is very similar to the old bubble screens.
Riding a motorcycle bare-faced is a big problem for the rider, not only because of the inconvenience caused by the wind, but also because of safety. To solve this point, checks were made in several situations to determine what would be the most effective length of the screen, taking into account that the shape of the face and the length of the nose vary from person to person.
Taking these points into account, it was decided to equip the JO screen with a height adjustment mechanism. The height of the screen can be easily adjusted in 3 positions without additional buttons thanks to the points located at the end of the screen.
The screen can be easily removed without the need for tools. Additionally, the customer can purchase the CJ-3 screen in dark smoke, high visibility yellow, mirror silver and mirror gold.

Interior padding
The interior padding of a helmet becomes an essential factor for a well-fitting and comfortable helmet. The Shoei JO combines both factors, but we have also made them consistent with a classic style with small details such as the leather finishes at the base of the helmet and Nobuck in the inner area of the screen to avoid possible reflections caused by the sun.
The side padding ensures a firm fit thanks to the multiple layers of polyurethane of different density depending on the area in contact with the rider's face. Much attention was paid to the profile of the side padding and the hardness of the polyurethane foams, adjusting part by part to eliminate possible gaps, thus improving the noise level according to the profiles of the glasses' temples.
The Central padding matches the rider's head contour thanks to the 3D Full Support Inner system.
Like all Shoei motorcycle helmets, the central padding, side padding and strap cover are fully removable and washable for easy maintenance.
If a perfect fit is desired, we optionally offer up to 3 sizes of side padding and 3 sizes of central padding that can be ordered at an authorized Shoei point of sale.
Goggle tape
The detail of incorporating a fastening tape on the back has been taken into account for enthusiastic motorcyclists of classic motorcycle goggles.
