EPS shock absorption system
We use a double density EPS for shock absorption. When an impact occurs, it is absorbed progressively and effectively in balance with the rigidity of the shell. The EPS incorporates a series of channels to allow the air to circulate without restrictions, further improving the ventilation characteristics of the Shoei GT-Air 2 helmet. In addition to improving shock absorption and ventilation, with a precise placement of the EPS a design is obtained of the most compact and lightweight helmet.

Micrometric safety closure
A micrometric safety closure makes it very easy to put on and take off the helmet. The closure mechanism is made of 100% stainless steel instead of plastic to ensure safety and thus meet Shoei standards.

EQRS safety system

SCREEN SYSTEM

The display mechanism has been redesigned based on the GT-Air's QR-N mechanism. A point has been added to be able to keep the screen slightly open. The famous PINLOCK EVO anti-fog system is included as standard. Even in high humidity and low temperatures, it helps prevent screen fogging by maintaining a clear view at all times.

The GT-Air 2 is equipped with the CNS-1 visor, the same model that the Shoei NEOTEC and GT-Air helmets were already equipped with. This screen provides a wide field of vision guaranteeing 99% protection against UV rays. The traditional in-mold injected Shoei screen has always been improved to ensure the best vision without distortion and reducing air noise. Of course, the screen can be quickly removed without using any type of tool.

SUN VISOR

The new GT-Air 2 has an integrated solar visor easy to operate, for example when entering or exiting a tunnel or similar areas where visibility changes suddenly. To reduce the amount of light that enters between the lower edge of the viewfinder and the eyes, the new QSV-2 sun visor is 5mm longer than the QSV-1 that was equipped with the GT-Air. On the other hand, it has a more accentuated nose arch to prevent the visor from rubbing against it.

It should be noted that safety in case of impact will not be affected thanks to an increase in the shell due to its external face that, thanks to a careful design, does not show a large helmet.

The QSV-2 screen has great optical performance, complying with the strict regulations of sunglasses in Europe and in the US. It has anti-scratch and anti-fog treatment, the UV filter is higher than 99%, the edges are profiled for the rider's safety in the event of an accident and of course, it can also be disassembled and assembled very easily.

The operation of the sun visor is very smooth thanks to two fully sheathed steel cables that run through the inside of the shell. The drive mechanism has been placed on the left side and is easy to operate even with thick gloves. In addition, it has a final click as a non-slip stop to prevent the visor from falling unexpectedly after a strong jolt or bump.

In the new GT-Air 2, the cut-out space in the shell to connect the cable with the lever of the operating mechanism has been minimized as much as possible in order to reduce the noise caused by the wind in this area.

Interior padding
The interior padding of the new GT-Air 2 is made up of different types of fabrics. The cheek pads are made up of different layers of polyurethane of different density depending on the contact area with the rider's face to ensure a firm fit and excellent comfort. comfort. The use of glasses has been taken into account. Making a simple hole in the interior for the temples of the glasses usually creates a problem in the fit of the glasses because the temples may not fit well depending on the type of glasses.
