The X Series have been SHOEI's flagship in the highest competition categories for over 15 years. The X-Spirit 3 is our new creation of the X series.

The X-Spirit 3 was born to win the races of the highest category, created from our knowledge in Moto GP competition assistance. In addition to maintaining a high level of safety, the aerodynamics have been further improved, achieving high helmet stability even at speeds of over 300 km / h. A great novelty is the new interior padding system, achieving high performance under a sporty driving position, together with the new ventilation system that controls sweat and improves breathing in tough driving situations.

The SHOEI's new competition helmet has been redesigned from scratch, reaching the circuits with totally new sports specifications for the shell, screen, interior padding and aerodynamic elements.

SECURITY

Shell AIM + multifiber
The shell of the Shoei X-Spirit 3 helmet integrates AIM + technology that offers high rigidity and light weight. The structure of the shell is composed of several layers of fiberglass, organic fibers and high-performance fibers with the ability to distribute the energy of impacts with optimal rigidity.

EPS absorption system shock
We use a dual density EPS for shock absorption. When an impact occurs, it is absorbed progressively and effectively in balance with the rigidity of the shell. The EPS incorporates a series of channels to allow air to circulate unrestrictedly, further improving the ventilation characteristics of the X-Spirit 3. In addition to improving shock absorption and ventilation, precise placement of the EPS results in a helmet design. more compact and lighter.

EQRS security system
The X-Spirit 3, like its predecessor, incorporates the exclusive SHOEI E.Q.R.S. This system allows medical personnel to easily remove the pads from the injured rider. Once the side padding has been removed, it is possible to safely remove the helmet from the rider's head without having to force the neck area, thus avoiding possible injuries.

SCREEN SYSTEM

The Shoei CWR-F screen is made of 3D molded polycarbonate, always improving the optical quality to obtain a clear and natural vision with minimal distortion and offering 99% protection against UV rays. Small deflectors have been incorporated on the sides that improve stability and vibrations at high speed.
The Shoei CWR-F screen is equipped as standard with lugs for the use of Tear-Off sheets on its outer face and system Pinlock Evo anti-fog on the inside of the screen. The adjustment of the outer studs is micrometric, thus preventing the Tear-Off sheets from loosening.
The QR-E fixing mechanism for the visor, the same one that equips the Shoei NXR helmet, allows the replacement of the screen very quickly. Once the screen is closed, the mechanism pushes it against the double contour lip, guaranteeing an optimal seal against wind and water at each closure. The new QR-E display mechanism can be slid back and forth in 5 steps of 1mm by rotating a small dial for a much more precise adjustment.
A small safety lever is incorporated on the left side of the chin guard to prevent opening the screen at high speed.

Inner padding < br> A comfortable fit is essential for a good driving experience. The X-Spirit 3 is equipped with fully removable, washable and replaceable inner padding made of very soft fabrics with great moisture absorption and quick drying thanks to 3D Max-Dry System technology. ensures a firm fit with the cheeks thanks to its 3D fabrication and to the multiple layers of polyurethane of different hardness depending on the area of ​​contact with the rider's face.

In addition, for the first time channels have been incorporated through of the padding where the air that comes from a specific front ventilation will be conducted to keep the rider's cheeks cool.
The central interior padding has been redesigned from scratch to coincide with the contour of the rider's head thanks to the 3D Full system Support Inner. While the central part acts as a base, the forehead, neck and sides of the head are completely independent and removable parts. Any of these parts can be substituted independently to achieve a more precise fit for different types of rider head shapes.
If a perfect fit is desired, we offer up to 4 sizes of side padding and 3 sizes of padding central that will be possible to request at the authorized Shoei point of sale.
In order to improve the angle of vision of the rider when he leans over the motorcycle adopting a sporty riding position, both the side padding and the central padding can rotate up to 4 ° from its standard position, thus modifying the inclination of the helmet.

Inner ear pads
The new Shoei X-SPIRIT 3 helmet is equipped as standard with inner padding for ears, specially designed for noise reduction. These padding can be removed to carry out the installation of a motorcycle intercom.

Chin cover and spoiler
The new Shoei X-Spirit 3 helmet includes a chin cover and a spoilers, both removable, which can be inserted into the lower edge in order to reduce noise and turbulence caused by the wind. These two elements can be used together or separately.

Nose cover
There is also a removable nose cover that can be inserted into the upper edge of the chin guard to help reduce the Fogging of the screen by diverting hot air towards the bottom of the helmet.

VENTILATION

Achieving a correct distribution of the ventilation systems is the fruit of many tests and trials in our wind tunnel in order to obtain the best performance in terms of aerodynamics and ventilation. With an improved balance of air absorption and expulsion, a high-quality ventilation system is obtained that cools all parts of the head evenly, achieving rapid and effective air renewal.

Front and upper air inlet
Two air inlets in the front area and two additional inlets in the upper part ensure a stable absorption of air, especially in the sporty driving position. The air is absorbed by these four inlet holes and is directed directly into the helmet through the EPS pipes obtaining highly effective ventilation.

Lower air inlet
An air inlet has been included in the chin guard. In this area the wind pressure during driving is high and the air is absorbed very effectively. The air that is absorbed from the lower inlet is divided into two flows inside the helmet. One of them goes to the screen area, while the other accesses the area near the rider's mouth.

Air circulation around the screen makes ventilation around the head more effective and guarantees a clear view together with the Pinlock anti-fog foil. The air reaching the mouth area makes it easier for the rider to breathe, especially in difficult riding situations.

Air intake for padding
An additional air intake in The front part of the chin guard will guide the fresh air through channels on the side of the chin guard and side padding to keep the rider's cheeks cool and evacuate sweat in a much more efficient way.

< strong> Rear air outlet
At the rear there are six air vents; two lateral, two central and two under the spoiler. These outlets are responsible for effectively expelling the hot air from the inside of the helmet through absorption, taking advantage of the slipstream effect that is generated at the back.

We pay close attention to the shape of the actuation buttons and the control mechanisms of all the ventilation parts so that they can be easily operated even with thick gloves.

AERODYNAMICS

When the rider and the motorcycle cut the air At high speed, the hull must also cut through this "wall" of air. To counteract this phenomenon, a well-developed aerodynamics in a motorcycle helmet becomes a fundamental factor.The aerodynamics of a helmet directly affects the load on the rider's neck, especially when riding a motorcycle at high speed. For this reason SHOEI has improved this point a lot, thanks to numerous tests and trials in our wind tunnel.

The X-Spirit 3 has been designed to emulate a sporty driving position taking into account real racing situations. The main objective was to eliminate unnecessary stresses caused by the wind in the neck area. Optionally, both spoilers can be replaced by a narrower size. This measurement is ideal for circuits with many curves where top speed is not a determining factor.

The lower part of the chin guard has a small removable spoiler. This spoiler improves aerodynamics by controlling air currents in this area of ​​the helmet.
